Terms & Conditions
1. Who we are
WorldPressIT (worldpressit.com, the “Website”) is operated by WorldPressIT (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at [email protected].
2. Acceptance of these terms
By using the Website, creating an account or placing an order you agree to these Terms & Conditions, our Privacy Policy, our Refund Policy and our Copyright & DMCA Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website. We may update these terms from time to time; the date above shows the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
3. What we sell
The Website is a marketplace of WordPress themes, plugins and template kits delivered as digital downloads. Every item listed is software that its original developer released under the GNU General Public License (GPL v2 or v3), which permits anyone who holds a copy to redistribute and sell it. We obtain the items from their developers or authorised channels and redistribute the unmodified files to you under the same licence.
WorldPressIT is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the developers of the items we list, including WordPress, Automattic, WooCommerce, Elementor, Yoast, WP Rocket, YITH or any other author. Product names and logos are used only to identify the software concerned. If you want the developer’s own support, licence key or automatic updates from the developer, you must buy from the developer directly; our products do not include them. See our GPL, Copyrights & DMCA notice.
We also offer services that are delivered by people rather than downloaded: managed WordPress hosting, site speed optimisation, SEO and development work. Services are described on their own pages and are subject to any additional terms stated there.
4. Your account
You must provide accurate details when registering and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Accounts are for one person, business or agency; sharing an account or its downloads with third parties is not permitted. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.
5. Orders, prices and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Your order is accepted when payment is confirmed and a receipt is issued. We may decline or cancel an order where we suspect fraud, abuse or an error in the listing or price, and will refund any amount already paid in that case.
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Where PayPal or other alternative payment methods are offered for digital downloads, those payments are processed by Paddle.com, who acts as the merchant of record for that transaction: Paddle collects the payment, applies and remits any VAT or sales tax, and issues its own receipt alongside ours. Paddle’s buyer terms apply to payments made through Paddle. Services such as hosting, speed optimisation and SEO are paid by card only and are never processed through Paddle.
Taxes are calculated at checkout according to your billing country. Discount codes apply only to future orders and cannot be applied retrospectively.
6. Delivery, updates and memberships
Downloads are available immediately after payment from the receipt page, your receipt email and your account area. Some packages are delivered as a bundle zip that must be unzipped first; instructions are provided with the download.
Items include access to new versions for six months unless you add Lifetime Updates or hold a membership, in which case new versions are made available for as long as that entitlement lasts. We publish new versions as soon as we obtain them, but availability depends on the developer and we cannot guarantee timing. You can request a version on any product page.
Memberships and update subscriptions renew automatically at the interval shown at purchase until you cancel from your account. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund the current period. Items downloaded during a membership remain usable after it ends, but you will no longer receive new versions.
7. Licence
You receive each theme, plugin or template kit under the GPL, as published by its developer. You may install it on any number of sites you own or build for clients. Nothing in these terms restricts the rights the GPL gives you.
The Website itself, including its design, text, product descriptions, images and compiled catalogue, is our property or used under licence and may not be copied, scraped or reproduced without our written permission.
8. Fair use
Our download system exists so that individuals, businesses and agencies can build their own and their clients’ sites. To keep it that way, the following are not permitted and will lead to account termination without refund:
- bulk downloading of the catalogue, use of scripts, bots or download managers against the Website;
- using the Website to stock or power another download site;
- sharing, pooling or reselling account access.
Gladiator (agency reseller) members are granted written permission through their panel to resell items they download and have higher download limits. Script use, bot use and copying the catalogue remain prohibited for all members.
9. Refunds
Because digital products can be downloaded instantly, sales are final once a product has been downloaded, except where the product is non-functional, materially different from its description or was never downloaded. Full details, including how EU and UK consumers’ 14-day withdrawal right applies to digital content, are in our Refund Policy. For payments processed by Paddle, refunds are issued through Paddle under the same policy.
10. Support
We provide support for downloading, installing and using the items we sell through live chat, tickets and [email protected] during our published hours. We do not provide the developer’s own support or custom development as part of a product purchase.
11. Acceptable use and termination
You must not use the Website for anything unlawful, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with its operation, or harass our staff or other customers. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, and no refund is due for accounts terminated for breach.
12. Intellectual property complaints
We respect the rights of developers and rights holders. If you believe material on the Website infringes your rights, follow the procedure in our Copyright & DMCA Policy. Valid notices are acted on within two to three business days.
13. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Items are provided as published by their developers, without warranty from us beyond what the law requires; the GPL itself excludes warranty. We do not guarantee that any item is compatible with your site, theme, plugins or hosting environment. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of data or profits. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or the statutory rights of consumers.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also benefit from the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in your local courts. EU consumers may also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform.
15. Contact
Questions about these terms: [email protected], or the contact form on the Website.
